Institute presentation

PSI is the largest research centre for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. PSI focuses on three main subject areas: Structure of Matter; Energy and the Environment; and Human Health. The Centre for Radiopharmaceutical Sciences (CRS) is a joint endeavour of the Paul Scherrer Institute Villigen (PSI), the ETH Zurich and the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. CRS’ main focus is the development of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and therapy at a pre-clinical level up to first-in-human trials. At the PSI, we have access to 2.800 m2 of laboratory space including laboratories for radiochemistry and isotope production (high energy Cyclotron) as well as chemical syntheses and GMP laboratories. The CRS runs a fully equipped biological lab for preclinical in vitro and in vivo evaluation including an animal lab with two PET/CT scanners as well as a SPECT/CT system.

The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) will coordinate WP2. The main tasks within the project will be :
